He used to play in daddy's uniform
With the stripes across the sleeve
And he knew when he was all grown up
What he was gonna to be
He used to like to ambush every careless cat or dog
That had the nerve to cross the battle lines he had drawn

And even though he didn't know
What his dad was fighting for
He was proud to be the other little soldier
In this war

The phone rang in the middle of the night
When they called his dad to go
Kissed him and his mom goodbye
And said God I love you both
I know that it's a lot to ask of such a little man
But hold the fort and
I'll be home as quickly as I can

And even though he didn't know
What his dad was fighting for
He was proud to be the other little soldier
In this war

A wall cannot begin to hold
The names of all the kids
Who gave the greatest sacrifice
That any child could give

It was the first time he had ever seen
A flag from up that close
And he watched them as
They folded it so careful and so slow
As they gave it to his mother
He knew what he should do
He raised his little hand and
Gave his dad one last salute

And even though he didn't know
What his dad was fighting for
He was proud to be the other little soldier
He was proud to be the other little soldier
In this war

What type of places do you hang out in with your normal friends? Wow I can't really remember the last time I was able to hang out like a normal person. Back when I was living on the base there was a group of us spouses that leaned on each other for moral support. In a way I wish that I was still there with that support system now that I know Jason is gone but at the same time I know I have great friends here that will be here for me. Jeremy in particular knows the pain of losing a fiance and being left to raise a child alone and I know will be a great support.

What annoys you more than anything else? When people put down the wars especially the one over in Iraq. I know what kind of passion Andrew had for the work he did over there.

What would be the perfect gift for you? I love to be surprised honestly.

What is your favorite drink? Pepsi

What's your favorite animal? Why? Dogs because of how loyal they are.

Do you have any pets? Do you want any pets? What kind? I do not have a pet but Andrew had always been promising Ryder that he would get him a puppy when he got back from Iraq after this tour was over but now that will never happen. I kinda feel obligated to hold up that with Ryder but my heart's just not in it right now.

What do you find most relaxing? Nothing seems to be very relaxing here lately unfortunately. I guess that happens when you have a 2 year old.

What habit that others have annoys you most? i hate when people procrastinate especially on important things.

What kind of things embarrass you? Why? the smallest thing seems to embarrass me lately. I'm not really sure why but it does.

How would you like to look? I actually like the way I look. Sure I'm not a perfect size two or anything but I'm content with the way my body looks.

MISCELLANEOUS QUESTIONS

What is the thing that has frightened you most? I recently had my worst fear realized when my fiance was killed.

Has anyone or anything you've ever cared about died? How did you feel about it? What happened? yes, back in late May my fiance Andrew was killed in action fighting the war over in Iraq. Honestly I think I'm still numb over the whole thing and having to tell my son that his daddy wouldn't be coming home was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life.

How private of a person are you? Why? I'm actually extremely private and even more so now than I used to be.

If you were to gain an obscenely large sum of money (via an inheritance, a lawsuit, a lottery, or anything else) what would you do with it? Make sure that myself and my son have the absolute best life I can provide.

What would you wish for if you found a genie? the one thing I would want is against the rules so I don't know.
